My BROTHER, CHRIS CRIDER - "BY MYSELF TONIGHT"
"Find Home"
®©Lyrics/Vocals Missy Crider, Music Marc Cody 2014
For my lucky 14. . .
Annie, Joe, Beth, Jodi, Diane, Cajun, Kelly, Tim, Chloe, Korbyn, Patti, Christelle, Haven & Sabrina
VERSE 1
Los Angeles...
The city of angels
My spirit was starvin'
So I packed it up
and I went on...
VERSE 2
I40... Eastbound
with a dog
and my stuff
and a truck.
BRIDGE
Albequerque, I was doubtin' myself
Motel 6, it was rainin' hard
Then a friend said, "Jump and the net will catch you"
Yeah, the net will catch you...
CHORUS
So I went... Northbound
Not for a man, not for a job
It rained, it snowed, I didn't care what it did...
I just wanted to find home
I just wanted to find...
Home.
- Break -
VERSE 3
I lived in the basement
of a Cajun friend's apartment
I gave a date the intersection,
not my address...
Sabrina asked me to stay... and sing,
so we waited
. . .
Then he asked me to dance.
VERSE 4
I40... Eastbound
When you're scared,
but you know in your gut what's sure...
I only waited my whole lifetime,
So I decided to head North
Then he asked me...
He asked me
to dance.
BRIDGE ALT 2
Sometimes you've gotta jump
and trust that the net will appear...
Sometimes you just have to trust
that the net will appear...
for you
'cause it did for me
It did for me.
It did for me.
(ALT TAG OUT)
It did for me.
VERSE 5 MAYBE?
Now I'm settled and smilin'
Way up here in the Field
Where the Good Witches live, I gave them my address....
I've never been so rewarded like this
Just for doin' what The Little Voice said...
CHORUS
I went Northbound...
(Up that 25)
Not for a man, not for a job
It rained, it snowed, I didn't care what it did...
I just wanted to find...
I just wanted to find...
Home.

Early Days . . .
Concrete Blonde's "Endless Sleep" from film, "Girls in Prison"
A native of Columbia, South Carolina, raised in Eureka Springs, Arkansas, Missy Crider is an American Emmy nominated actor, award-winning writer, producer, singer, violinist, and child advocate. Crider began her journey to the arts at an early age. She took a job as a singer and violinist in musical stage shows, when she was awarded "Young Entertainer of the Year" by the OMA Stage Awards Association in 1986.
A trip to record a Christmas album in Nashville was stopped short due to a car accident, and the album was never recorded. She has written and personally produced songs that appear on the soundtracks of two of her films thus far: She wrote "Can't Show The World" for A Boy Called Hate, costarring Scott Caan, James Caan, and Elliot Gould. She later produced a husky, eerie, and arid cover of a 1920s Elizabeth Cotton tune entitled, "Freight Train" singing with her brother, Chris Crider (guitar and vocals) for the film Reeseville, costarring Majandra Delfino, Sally Struthers, Brad Hunt, and Mark Hamill. Starring as the lead, Aggie O'Hanlon, she acted and recorded Concrete Blonde's "Endless Sleep" in the rock-a-billy version (pictured) of the Drive-In Cinema Classic remake (1994) of the 1950s original "Girls in Prison" directed by John McNaughton.
